German tuner ABT Sportsline has unveiled its two latest creations, named the RS6-S and RSQ8-S. The two vehicles are slightly tamer than the RS6-R and RSQ8-R that ABT also offers its customers, but that’s not to say they are short on performance. Quite the opposite, in fact. ABT’s modifications start with the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that powers both models producing 591-hp in stock form. The fitment of a new engine control unit lifts grunt up to 691 hp and 880 Nm of torque and those after more power can request to have the engine tuned to 730 hp and 920 Nm.
Various other performance modifications have
been made to the duo. For example, they feature quad, 102 mm tailpipes
and the RSQ8-S rocks an upgraded suspension system that drops the ride height
by 25 mm in Comfort mode and 15 mm in Dynamic.
Adjustable springs have been fitted to the RS6-S that drop it by 25 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear. ABT has also equipped
the super estate with new front and rear anti-roll bars.
The two Audis also sit on new wheels, with
the RS6 Avant rocking 22-inch rims and the RSQ8-S fitted with massive 23-inch
ones. A carbon fiber aerodynamics package also adorns both the RS6-S and
RSQ8-S. This kit includes a carbon fiber front splitter with red lettering,
side skirt add-ons, and a two-part rear spoiler. Some minor upgrades have also
been made to the interior, including a new shift knob, ABT start-stop switch,
steering wheel badge, and new door sill trim.
ABT’s RS6-S and RSQ8-S packages are priced
at € 42,900 (US$ 48,710) plus installation – excluding, of course, the donor car.
