It has already been two years since Ferrari unveiled the Roma, so it’s about time for Novitec to present its own version. The tuning kit for Maranello’s entry-level GT includes discreet styling updates and more power from the twin-turbo V8. Starting with the exterior design, Novitec’s bodykit is made of naked carbon with a high-gloss coating. It includes a redesigned front apron with a more prominent splitter matching the new grill and headlight trim. The Roma also benefits from aerodynamic side sills, carbon mirror covers, taillight surrounds, diffuser inserts, an additional vertical fin as well as a carbon cover for the active rear spoiler.

While the bodykit looks rather discreet following the character of the Roma, the most notable addition is the NF10 forged wheels by Vossen. They have a diameter of 21-inches with 255/30 ZR 21 tires at the front and 22-inches with 315/25 ZR 22 tires at the back, and come in 72 different color options and three surface finishes. In a typical Novitec flavor, the GT is fitted with sport springs lowering it by 35 mm. In order to avoid scraping the splitter on speed bumps, there is a hydraulic front lift system that’s raising the front axle by 40 mm through the touch of a button.

                                                                                      

While the Roma is more focused on comfort, style, and elegance than the rest of Ferrari’s range, it is still a pretty fast and agile grand tourer. For those who seek something more, Novitec is upgrading the twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 power output from the stock 612 hp to a more substantial 695 hp, while taking the torque figure from 760 Nm to 882 Nm. This boost was made possible thanks to the N-Tronic control module, introducing new mapping for injection, and ignition, while upgrading the electronic boost pressure control and optimizing throttle response. The tuner is also offering high-performance catalysts.

The improved power figures have a noticeable effect on performance. More specifically, Novitec’s Roma accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and from 0-200 km/h in 8.9 seconds representing an improvement of -0.2 seconds and -0.4 seconds accordingly. Furthermore, top speed has increased by around 5 km/h to more than 325 km/h. Rounding up the upgrades, Novitec will add leather and Alcantara upholstery inside the cabin in any color. The tuner didn’t provide pricing for the complete package but given that the Ferrari Roma has a starting price of US$ 222,630 in the US, we are sure the naked carbon components won’t come cheap.
