Dodge announced today that it has officially opened order books on the 2022 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak models. Customers can design their own model via the automaker’s Challenger and Charger configurators. Announced last month, the Jailbreak models unlock an additional 10 hp from the company’s supercharged V8. That pushes outputs levels up from 797 hp to 807 hp.
And while that’s all well and good, the
package is more focused on making a highly customizable car and unlocking
exclusive factory options than power, the automaker says. These include
exclusive options like:
- Hammerhead Grey Laguna leather seats
- Hammerhead Grey floor mat accents
- Hammerhead Grey, Sepia, and Demonic Red seat belts
- Leather steering wheel and Alcantara steering wheel options, with white SRT logo
- Copper Weaver carbon fiber bezel finish
- Decklid stripe and Widebody side stripe
- Brass Monkey, Satin Chrome, and red exterior badging finish
- Chrome fuel door finish
- Blue and yellow brake calipers
- 20-by-11-inch Warp Speed Satin Carbon and lightweight Low-Gloss Granite wheels
In all, customers shopping for a
Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak get seven options for seats,
stripes, and wheels; six options for brake caliper colors; five exterior
badging finishes; four choices of steering wheel, seatbelt color, and floor
mats. The Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak edition, meanwhile, get
seven wheel options; six exterior stripe and brake caliper offerings; five seat
and badging options; and four steering wheel, seatbelt, and floor mats to
choose from.
The package is a US$ 995 option, plus the
additional cost of some options. That means that the Challenger starts at US$ 82,170 and the Charger starts at US$ 84,140.
