2022 Kawasaki KLX450R launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 8.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The flagship motorcycle of the KLX family has been tweaked for more low-end torque and is mated to a wide-ratio 5-speed transmission. The bike is powered by a big-bore 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 449cc single-cylinder engine. Kawasaki hasn’t officially revealed the power figures of the motorcycle for India but it is likely to be the same 56.4 HP at 8500 RPM and 50 Nm at 7500 RPM.
It come with an all-digital compact
instrument cluster that displays speedometer, dual tripmeters, odometer and
clock. There is an LED rear light for better visibility. It is equipped with
both electric and kick starter. The off-roader has a ground clearance of 315
mm, seat height of 935 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 8-litres.
Suspension setup includes 48 mm telescopic
inverted forks up front that offers 305 mm travel and Uni Trak at the rear with
315 mm travel. For braking, the bike is equipped with 250 mm semi-floating
petal disc brake at the front and 240 mm petal disc at the rear.
Kawasaki will commence the deliveries in
India by January end.
