Maserati offers a higher-end customization program, which in this case is called the Maserati Fuoriserie. Its latest customer, David Beckham, has decided to show off his creation to the world. The Maserati MC20 Fuoriseie Edition for David Beckham was inspired by his soccer club, Miami United FC. Together with the automaker, he has created a car that reflects the black and pink kits the team wears.
The uniforms, though, aren’t simply black
and pink, as the interplay of glossy and matte surfaces interplay to lend the
kits added visual appeal. That’s a feature that Maserati was able to recreate
for Beckham’s car.
The bodywork is finished in a glossy black
tone, which is made to contrast against the Trident logos on the grille and
C-pillars, which are finished in matte black. The Maserati lettering at the
back, too, is also finished in matte black, though the MC20 badge on the door
is finished in pastel pink, as are the Brembo brake calipers. The same theme
continues inside, where the leather and Alcantara are finished in black with
contrasting pink stitching. The backrests are upholstered in Alcantara with a
tone-on-tone laser engraving, while the headrests get three-dimensional pastel
pink embroidery.
On the center tunnel between the seats,
meanwhile, a personalized nameplate appears with a glossy-matte effect. Next to
the trident logo, the Maserati Fuoriseie lettering is in pastel pink, while at
the bottom, in italics, the words “For David” appear in aluminum.
