Kuhl Racing has previewed the widebody kits that it is developing for the latest-generation Toyota GR 86 and Subaru BRZ. The two kits will premiere at next month’s Tokyo Auto Salon and both dramatically alter the looks of the two sports cars.
Starting with the Toyota GR 86 kit, it has
only been previewed through a render and a series of CAD drawings and mock-ups,
but even so, we can see that it features a unique front end with an aggressive
bumper and a pronounced splitter. The kit will also include flared wheel arches
and extended side skirts, further adding to the GR 86’s distinctive design.
Kuhl Racing is also working on a new rear
fascia for the GR 86 that includes a pronounced diffuser and a fixed rear wing.
Meanwhile, the Japanese tuner’s kit for the Subaru BRZ is equally as menacing
as the GR 86’s and is almost complete. It too sports flared front and rear
wheel arches but has a slightly different front bumper with unique air intakes
and a pronounced splitter. Other modifications made include distinctive side
skirts, a bespoke bumper, and a swan neck rear wing.
Kuhl Racing has not yet revealed how much
buyers will need to cough up for these bodykits but when accompanied by a set
of aftermarket wheels, they will make the duo really stand out and given how
popular the first-gen 86 and BRZ were among tuners, they will probably be
joined by others in the future.
