Haval has unwrapped an export-oriented version of its DaGou (‘Big Dog’) SUV at the Jeddah Motor Show in Saudi Arabia, revealing that it will be called Dargo outside of its main market.

Saudi Arabia will be the first to receive it, followed by Iraq, Russia, Ukraine, Chile and several other countries. Haval did not explicitly mention any region-specific exterior changes, but the show car looked considerable different from its Chinese counterpart. Among other things, the radiator grille has become bigger and now looks like that of the Great Wall Poer truck. In fact, it is so big it nearly touches the headlights. The bezels around both elements are black rather than chrome, and the front bumper sports some new décor.

The interior stays the same: there is a steering wheel with massive-looking spokes, a couple of displays (the infotainment screen is rounded), vertical air vents, and a drive selector knob.

On its domestic market, the soft-roader comes with 1.5- and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines rated at 169 PS and 211 PS, respectively. The show car had its 2.0L engine de-boosted to 196 PS and 325 Nm, so this is perhaps what we should expect on sale. The transmission is seven-speed DCT.
