It’s time to forget that beauty as MegaRexx, a newly formed company from the creative minds at Osprey Customs that we’ve come to know from their Land Rover Defender restomods, has introduced their take on the idea and, well, let’s just say it won’t win any beauty contests. Dubbed the MegaBronc, the truck is based on a 2021 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat and has been equipped with a Bronco-esque front end as well as a fiberglass hood and custom front fenders. The truck also sports custom bedsides and a heavy duty front bumper with an integrated light bar. They’re joined by a steel roll cage and a “removable fiberglass hardtop” that looks like a traditional bed cap.
Rounding out the highlights are a lift
kit, upgraded radius arms, dual steering stabilizers, and adjustable track
bars. The model also has upgraded Dana 60 axles and 20-inch Method Race Wheels
wrapped in 40-inch Atturo Trail Blade mud-terrain tires.
MegaRexx didn’t release interior pictures,
but said the seven-seater has two-tone perforated leather seats with heating
and ventilation. They’re joined by second-row captain chairs and a power
folding third-row sourced from an Expedition. The model also sports a panoramic
moonroof, a heated steering wheel, and a LineX coating in the bed.
Power is provided by a 6.7-liter Power
Stroke V8 turbodiesel engine that produces 475 hp and 1,424 Nm of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic
transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The MegaBronc costs US$ 199,000, but we’ll point out you can get a 2022 F-250 Super Duty
Crew Cab Lariat 4×4 Diesel for US$ 67,315. A Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package would set you back an extra US$ 50,425 and this would bring the total to US$ 117,740 including destination
charges. That’s quite a saving and sometimes two is better than one.
