It has been roughly six months since Mitsubishi announced the revival of the Ralliart brand and the automaker has now shown off the fruits of its labor with some accessories for the Pajero Sport and Triton in Thailand. Many of us were quite hopeful that the Ralliart brand would be relaunched with an impressive new performance model. What we have got instead are some bright red trimmings for the Pajero Sport and Triton and not much else.
Starting with the Triton pickup truck, it
has received a new front bumper with bright red accents, red mud flaps, red and
black decals across the rear doors and rear-quarter panels, and a Ralliart
bedliner. It also sits on distinctive gloss black wheels.
Then we have the Pajero Sport. It benefits
from largely the same accessories, including front and rear bumper accents
finished in red, multi-colored stickers, red mud flaps, and a small black
rooftop spoiler. Both it and the Triton also come with Ralliart-branded floor
mats.
When announcing the revival of the
Ralliart brand in May, Mitsubishi confirmed it would introduce a host of
Ralliart parts and accessories. It seems these were the kinds of parts it was
talking of, rather than parts that could actually improve the performance of
some of the brand’s models. Interestingly, Mitsubishi also confirmed that it
would be returning to motorsport but it has failed to divulge what these plans
will entail.
