Maruti has updated the Eeco non-cargo variants with dual front airbags as standard fitment. The van used to come with only driver-side airbag as standard until now. With this update the Eeco is now Rs. 8000/- more expensive. The price of the Maruti Eeco non-cargo variant now ranges between Rs. 4.38 lakhs to Rs. 5.68 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The van was updated in 2020 for meeting the new safety norms and BS6 norms while the price was hiked by Rs. 6000-9000/- back then.
It is powered by a 1196cc, 4-cylinder
engine that produces 73 HP and 101 Nm of torque in petrol guise. The CNG
powertrain puts out 63 HP and 85 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed
manual transmission. The petrol variant returns a claimed fuel efficiency of
16.11 km/l while the CNG version returns 20.88 km/kg.

Eeco has grown now which includes dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking
sensors, seatbelt reminder, speed alert system, etc. The van is available in
5-seater and 7-seater variants with an option of AC and non-AC trims as well.
