This is the Nissan Ariya Single Seater Concept and it shows what can be done with the powertrain of the all-electric Ariya SUV.
The unique concept has been unveiled at
the Nissan Futures event presented by Nissan senior vice president for global
design, Alfonso Albaisa, and Nissan global marketing divisional general manager
for brand and engagement, Juan Manuel Hoyos.
Nissan says the Ariya Single Seater
Concept builds on its Timeless Japanese Futurism design language and brings it
together on a bespoke single-seater racing car chassis. The front-end
immediately stands out thanks to the illuminated ‘V’ motion signature.
Elsewhere, the concept features aerodynamic front and rear wheel covers,
exposed suspension components, and borrows its intriguing bronze shade of paint
from the road-going Ariya.
The body of the concept has been crafted
from lightweight carbon fiber and Nissan says its role in the ABB FIA Formula E
World Championship played a key role in inspiring the Ariya Single Seater
Concept.
