Gunther Werks announced a custom Porsche 911 (993) makeover last August, offering a speedster conversion for the model. These renderings show a nearly completed purple car.
While no photos are available yet, the
customer duo who ordered this tuning say that everything is nearly complete and
only some finishing touches remain. Aside from a gorgeous Viola exterior, the
custom ride boasts an exposed carbon fiber body kit, seats clad in Pepita
upholstery, and plenty of leather, Alcantara and carbon accents in the cabin.
Pop up the engine bay lid to discover a
four-liter flat-six engine rated at 441 PS and 454 Nm of torque. The mill can rev up to 7,800 RPM and drives the rear wheels
through a six-speed manual transmission. The rear axle features a limited-slip
differential and a carbon clutch that can lock up to 40%.
As a side note, Porsche has only ever
built two 911 Speedster units – one for its own designer and the other one for
standup comedian Jeery Seinfeld. The rarity of the topless sports car makes
quality replicas of it quite expensive.
