Porsche is adding a little sophistication to the standard Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe model lineup with the newly announced Platinum Edition package. Available on the Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, and Cayenne S (as well as their respective coupe variants), with prices starting at US$ 79,000 (US$ 80,350 w/ US$ 1,350 delivery fee) for the Platinum Edition. That’s compared to US$ 69,000 (or US$ 70,350 w/delivery fee) for the base Cayenne. The package features a number of model-specific Satin Platinum-painted design elements. That includes the intakes in the front fascia, the rear logotype, the model designation, and more.
The model rides on standard 21-inch RS
Spyder Design wheels in, you guessed it, Satin Platinum and are exclusive to
this package. If you were to order these wheels as an option on the standard
Cayenne, it would cost you US$ 3,830. It also gets standard black sport tailpipes,
high-gloss black window trim. Platinum Edition Cayennes are offered in solid
white, solid black, and a number of metallic colors, including Jet Black,
Carrera White, Mahogany, and Moonlight Blue, as well as in Chalk, which is a
“special color.”
Inside, the model gets Chalk colored seat
belts, aluminum trim pieces throughout the cabin, and door sill guards that are
finished in brushed aluminum with the “Platinum Edition” text proudly written
on them. Porsche is positioning the trim level as a value proposition, by
adding LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, a Panoramic Roof, Bose
Surround Sound system, 8-way adjustable sport seats, and Porsche crests on the
headrests as standard. Porsche Manufaktur will also offer a wide variety of
interior and exterior customization options specifically for the Cayenne
Platinum Edition models.
Available to order now, the models are set
to arrive at dealers in the U.S. this summer. Full pricing is as follows with
all being subject to an additional US$ 1,350 delivery, processing, and handling
fee.
