The Volkswagen ID.4 had only recently debuted to overall praise and critical acclaim, but the German automaker still found the bravery to keep improving it further. In the model year 2022, the electric SUV gets more than 418 km of driving range (precise numbers pending) and a more powerful charging device. As a result, prices get bumped by up to US$ 765 across all trim levels.
An over-the-air update will be coming out
later this year that will add automatic lanekeeping to the list of the car’s
safety features. A Plug and Charge system will also be implemented soon to
trivialize the charging process.
This is not all, however. Volkswagen says
the ID.4 will continue to get major improvements in 2023, including a new
center console design more familiar to drivers in the North America. Production
for the US market will also move to Chattanooga, Tennessee next year.
