Henrik Fisker has teased an electric supercar that his automaker is currently in the process of developing. This image was shared to Twitter but quickly deleted by the founder of Fisker. It appears to have been taken while the car was undergoing computational fluid dynamics testing. Writing on Twitter, Fisker said the “first aero test & downforce test of our electric supercar came out amazing! It’s in a segment that does not exist today, period! Just for fans. I’ll remove shortly.”
While much of the car’s design is hidden,
there are a few things that stand out. Most notably, we can see that the
supercar has swollen rear arches and appears to be equipped with two separate
LED light bars stretching across the rear fascia. It also looks to be equipped
with a folding soft top.
Details such as when the vehicle could
launch or what kind of electric powertrain it has remain unclear. Whatever the
case may be, Fisker is clearly confident that there will be no other vehicle on
the market quite like it.
The electric supercar is unlikely to
launch anytime soon given how much Fisker already has on its plate. Most
notably, the automaker is gearing up to start production of the all-electric
Ocean SUV in November and revealed late last year that it will start at US$ 37,499
before federal and state tax credits while topping out at US$ 68,999. Fisker is
also working on a compact vehicle known as ‘Project PEAR’, plans to launch an
electric pickup, and will develop two further EVs in the UK.
