Kenworth has unveiled an all-electric truck at the CES dubbed the T680E which is featured in the PACCAR Innovations booth exhibit. The truck has been designed for pickup and delivery services, as well as regional haul and drayage applications, and is available as a day cab as either a tractor or straight truck in a 6×4 axle configuration.
Powering the Kenworth T680E is an electric
powertrain with 536 hp of continuous power and up to 670 hp of peak power, and 2,200 Nm of torque. Kenworth says the truck has a top speed of 105 km/h and an estimated range of 241 km. Details about the
truck’s battery pack haven’t been announced but Kenworth has confirmed it
features the industry-standard SAE CCS1 charging port and can be fully charged
in approximately three hours.
PACCAR Parts’ electric vehicle charging
stations throughout the U.S. have an output ranging from 20 kW to 350 kW.
Customers can also purchase EV chargers from Kenworth dealers.
