Aerodynamic bodykits launched for high-performance cars can be a bit hit and miss but that hasn’t stopped Vorsteiner from introducing a raft of upgrades for the new BMW M3 and M4. The exterior designs of the duo have triggered a lot of debate since they were first introduced and Vorsteiner has left no stone unturned in altering the looks without going overboard.
Vorsteiner’s modifications start at the
front end where it has developed a new grille. It seems very few people like
the M3/M4’s standard kidney grilles so Vorsteiner has replaced them and crafted
a grille with a large central bar, splitting the grille into four segments and
giving the car’s a slightly more traditional yet still aggressive look.
To us, it looks like a German version of
the Dodge crosshair grille, but each to his own. This front grille is available
in either ABS plastic for US$ 899.99 or in carbon fiber for US$ 1,499.99. Complementing
the overhauled grille is a carbon fiber front splitter that easily attaches to
the M3/M4’s standard bumper. This splitter will set back shoppers US$ 2,395 and
makes the front profiles of the cars particularly menacing.
Other upgrades made include the fitment of
carbon fiber side skirts, a bespoke carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a carbon
fiber decklid spoiler. The entire kit can be purchased for US$ 8,684 or the parts
can be ordered individually. Vorsteiner has also developed a set of new VP-X forged
wheels for the M3 and M4 available in 20×9, 20×10.5, 21×10, and 21×11 sizes.
The tuner is also in the midst of developing a vented, carbon fiber hood for
the M duo.
