Say hello to the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades, the latest addition to the growing Bronco family that comes as standard with a number of accessories to make it even more capable. Two keys upgrades made to the Bronco Everglades immediately make it stand out from other Bronco models. The first new feature is a snorkel that Ford designed and engineered in-house which includes easy-to-swap plates that alter the direction of the inlet. Complementing the snorkel are raised vents for the front and rear axles, transfer case, and transmission, meaning the Bronco Everglades can ford water that is 924 mm deep. By comparison, standard Bronco models have 851 mm of fording ability.
The Bronco Everglades is also sold as
standard with a heavy-duty modular front bumper from Ford Performance and a
Zeon 10-S Warn winch with a 10,000 lbs capacity and a 30 meter synthetic line. Ford has also equipped the model with the same protective
safari bar, rock rails, and steel bash plates as the Black Diamond and Badlands
models.
A handful of smaller changes have also
been made. For example, the Bronco Everglades has unique front and rear wheel
arches and sports distinct graphics on the front quarter panels. It also
features a Carbonized Gray grille with gloss black Bronco lettering and
shoppers will be able to order it with a Sasquatch package that adds 17-inch
Carbonized Gray wheels with 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires. Rock rails and
a roof rack with crossbars are also featured.
Eager to make sure the Bronco Everglades
is easy to clean after going off-road, Ford has fitted marine-grade vinyl seats
and rubberized washout flooring. Urban Green accents are also found on the grab
handles, air vents, and seat stitching. Ford has opted to sell the Bronco
Everglades exclusively with the entry-level 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder
packing 300 hp and 440 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a
10-speed automatic transmission.
Shoppers will be offered five colors with
the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades, namely Desert Sand, Eruption Green, Area 51,
Shadow Black, and Cactus Gray. Ordering will open in March exclusively for
existing Bronco reservation holders and prices will start at US$ 53,000 plus US$ 1,495 in destination and delivery charges.
