Acura has announced they’ll begin accepting reservations for the 2023 Integra on March 10th. The company didn’t go into many details, but suggested consumers act fast as only a “limited number” of units will be available when the Integra goes on sale this spring. Additional details will be released soon, but the 2023 Integra is a five-door liftback that is slated to start around US$ 30,000. While Acura hasn’t even shown the production model at this point, the car was previewed by a prototype last November.
The Integra adopts Acura’s latest design
language as it features a sporty front fascia with a Diamond Pentagon grille
that is flanked by JewelEye LED headlights and Chicane LED daytime running
lights. While the model resembles a fancy Honda Civic, there are some classic
styling touches including embossed Integra logos under the driver’s side
headlight and passenger side taillight.
Interior pictures surfaced earlier this
year and the design is pretty underwhelming as it looks like a cheaper take on
the Civic. That being said, the prototype features two-tone upholstery, a
freestanding infotainment system, and mesh-style air vents similar to the
Civic. Acura has been tight-lipped about performance specifications, but the
company has already confirmed the car will feature a turbocharged 1.5-liter
engine as well as a six-speed manual and a limited slip differential. That
setup is apparently lifted from the Honda Civic Si, where the turbocharged
four-cylinder develops 200 hp and 260 Nm of
torque.
The Integra is slated to replace the aging
ILX, which went into production nearly a decade ago. The model will be built in
Marysville, Ohio and Acura obviously has high hopes for the car.
