Customer deliveries of the remarkable Aston Martin Valkyrie kicked off a few months ago and a particularly striking example has just landed on the showroom floor of Aston Martin Oslo. This particular Valkyrie stands out at Insignia’s showroom thanks to its bright red finished fittingly dubbed Supernova Red. We know that this won’t be the only Valkyrie that leaves the factory painted red as a U.S. collector famously ordered his car to be painted in a shade dubbed Karosserie Lunar Red and complete with dust from the moon.
Back to the Valkyrie in question, its
Supernova Red paint has been contrasted by a plethora of carbon fiber accents.
These include the front splitter, rear diffuser, roof, roof scoop, and the
radical aerodynamic elements found on the sides. The British hypercar is also
rocking silver and black wheels.
The striking touches made to the car
continue into the cabin where there are red harnesses and black Alcantara
adorning the carbon fiber racing seats. Like all other Valkyrie models, the
interior is quite bare compared to most other road cars but it does feature
four screens, consisting of a gauge cluster incorporated into the steering
wheel, two screens receiving live images from the rear-facing cameras, and a
central infotainment display.
Famously powering the Valkyrie is a
6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 pumping out 1,000 hp and supplemented by an
electric motor with 160 hp. All up, the car delivers 1,134 hp at a screaming
10,500 rpm and 900 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. A key focus for Aston
Martin when developing the Valkyrie was downforce and while no final downforce
figures have been publicized for the production model, the automaker could soon
start chasing lap records with the car.
