The Renault Arkana family has grown in Australia with the launch of the new R.S. Line variant for the 2022 model year. The new Arkana R.S. Line will sit at the top of the Arkana range. It is based on the well-specified Intens model but adds some sporty new features to make it stand out. Local pricing kicks off at AU$ 42,090 (US$ 30,664). Compared to the Arkana Intens, the Arkana R.S. Line adds a set of 18-inch R.S. Line diamond-cut alloy wheels, a unique front bumper with an F1-inspired aero blade, R.S. Line badging, gun metal grey door trims, and front and rear skid plates.
The French car manufacturer has continued
the unique touches into the cabin of the car thanks to R.S. Line door sills,
faux carbon fiber trim, alloy sport pedals, a perforated leather steering wheel
with R.S. Line badging, red and grey contrast stitching, and various other R.S.
badges. Those who order an Arkana R.S. Line will also be able to enjoy a
fully-digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view
mirror, and a sunroof. The only available options are AU$ 750 (US$ 546) metallic
paint and a AU$ 600 (US$ 437) contrasting black roof.
Like all other Arkana models sold in
Australia, the R.S. Line is powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder
engine with 154 hp at 5,500 rpm and 262 Nm of torque at
2,250 rpm. This engine averages 6.0-liters per 100 km (39 U.S. mpg) over the
combined cycle and powers the front wheels.
A number of safety features come standard.
They include Active Emergency Braking with vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian
detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, and rear
cross-traffic alert.
