It’s nearly Easter Jeep Safari time again and that means the brand is looking forward to going to its home away from home in Moab, Utah. It’s so excited, in fact, that it has already teased two vehicles ahead of the April 9-17 event. The Jeep brand and Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) say they’re hard at work creating “several” one-of-a-kind concept vehicles “that will take four-wheeling to the next level.” So far, though, it’s only teasing two concepts.
The first, Jeep reveals, will be a 4xe
electrified SUV that will “conquer even the most tumultuous terrain along the
backcountry trails of Moab and further highlight the Jeep brand’s vision of
accomplishing Zero Emission Freedom.” The front grille elements make the teaser
image look distinctly like a Grand Cherokee (possibly L) with fender guards and
blue highlights.
The second teaser image is clearly of a
Jeep Gladiator, though what makes it special is harder to glean. The image
seems to suggest that the model will get a visor over the windshield and a
special roof. The image design looks a bit like a QR code.
Last year, Jeep brought an electric
Wrangler named Magneto, the Wrangler Orange Peelz (with orange paint, Corning
Gorilla Glass, half-doors, and more), the Gladiator Rubicon Red Bare (which
featured a 91:1 crawl ratio, Dana 44 axles, steel bumpers, BFG tires, and
more), and the Jeepster Commando Beach, a 1968 C101 with red leather upholstery
to the Easter Jeep Safari.
This will be the event’s second year back
since it was paused in 2020 for the pandemic.
