The Dacia Duster has sold more than 2 million units worldwide thanks to its adventurous styling, roomy cabin, off-road credentials, and most importantly value-for-money. For buyers that want the absolute best though Dacia has rolled out the Extreme SE variant sitting right at the top of the range with prices up to £ 21,645 (US$ 30,000). At this price, the flagship Duster is likely the most expensive vehicle in Dacia’s history.

Visually, the Extreme SE gets black 17-inch aluminum wheels and exclusive Urban Grey exterior shade combined with Grey Quartz accents and orange details on the grille, mirrors, and roof rails. The price might be premium for Dacia standards but don’t expect any fancy leather or tech equipment options inside this special edition, other than some cool-looking orange accents. Just like the Prestige trim on which it is based, the Extreme SE gets fabric/TEP upholstery for the seats and hard plastic on the dashboard. At least the 8-inch Media Nav infotainment comes standard, together with automatic air conditioning, heated seats, an acoustic windshield, a multi-view camera, retractable armrest, cruise control, blind-spot warning, two USB ports, and electric windows.

 

The recently facelifted Dacia Duster starts from as low as € 12,290 (US$ 13,898) in Germany and from £ 14,495 (US$ 19,668) in the UK. Prices for the Extreme SE trim though are a different case starting from € 17,950 (US$ 20,302) in Germany and from £ 17,495 (US$ 23,739) in the UK for the base 1.0 TCe FWD. Those who want the fastest Duster should opt for the 1.3 TCe producing 148 hp. This is listed for £ 20,845 (US$ 28,268) in the UK exclusively offered in FWD with the EDC six-speed automatic, but German buyers can get it with a manual gearbox and 4WD for a cool € 22,750 (US$ 25,732). The title of the most expensive Duster goes to the 1.5 blueDCi turbodiesel with 113 hp (85 kW / 115 PS) selling for £ 21,645 (US$ 29,353) as the sole 4WD option in the UK range. Again, the exact same vehicle is cheaper in Germany where it is listed for € 22,650 (US$ 25,627).

Order books for the Dacia Duster Extreme SE in the UK will open in April (already available to order in Germany), with the first deliveries scheduled for May. If you are a fan of this trim but want a car with seven seats, Dacia is already offering the Jogger Extreme SE for £ 17,395 (US$ 23,574). The titles of both the larger and the most expensive Dacia will likely be stolen by the larger Bigster when it arrives in 2025
