Roewe has unveiled the Jing, its latest coupe-like crossover SUV whose name means “a whale”. You can find plenty of whale-like features in it if you take a closer look.

The car features a rather minimalistic and modern cabin with a single digital dash and infotainment unit. The right-hand part of the display is curved slightly towards the driver.

The trim involved white and blue leather, once again playing on the oceanic theme. The seats have built-in headrests. The steering wheel houses sensor buttons with vibrational feedback that enables drivers to keep focused on the road. The rear bench offers tilt angle adjustment for its individual seat backs. The door handles are of a pull-out kind.

Customers who want a Roewe Jing only have one powertrain available to them, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to an Aisin eight-speed A/T and FWD for 231 PS. The automaker says it does not intend to produce any other modifications at this time.

Sales are set to start in late spring or early summer.
