Smartron’s second electric bike, the tbike OneX has been announced in India. The tbike OneX is a great addition to the ridesharing and delivery market in India and overseas. According to Smartron’s founder and chairman, Mahesh Lingareddy, the new e-bike is a recipient of international awards, and the basic segment of the e-bike could expand to accommodate the lifestyle and other innovative applications.
The tbike OneX has a multi-modular and
multipurpose design and can be used as a multi-utility e-bike focused on
ridesharing and logistics delivery markets. Smartron has continued to expand in
its operations, delivering the tbikes to far-flung places in Africa, North and
South America, as well as countries in Europe and Asia.
Being a full-blown Indian company,
Smartron is promoting local content by completely undertaking the design and
engineering aspects in India. This approach has eliminated the problems of
supply chain logistics challenges. The tbike OneX has the tronx platform which
operates in conjunction with the tbike mobile app and tlock, offering a range
of customized fleet and rider management opportunities. It can be easily
integrated into existing systems for rideshare and delivery services. The
system also provides real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics of the tbike
OneX fleet within a system. Other features available in the tronx platform are
asset utilization, battery status, location, remote lock/ unlock, and
geofencing.
OneX is the first multipurpose e-bike that
caters to the business-to-business (B2B) segment. It comes with a lifetime
warranty for its frame, Magnesium Alloy wheels, puncture-proof tires, 25 km/h
top speed, and a riding range beyond 100 km. Battery swapping and onboard
charging are also possible with the tbike OneX. The OneX is priced at Rs.
38,000 (US$ 494) excluding GST. There are few details about the global
