Wiesmann is following up on its promise to unveil a brand new model in 2022 and has just revealed a few teaser images of that vehicle called Project Thunderball. Set to go into production alongside the also unreleased Project Gecko teased a few years ago, the new sports car is said to be a “sports car befitting the modern era”.
After noticing that the vehicle lacked
exhaust pipes and it did not make any sounds in the teaser video shared, we
reached out to Wiesmann to see if it was electric. And indeed, a spokesperson
confirmed that it’s the German brand’s first ever EV.
The entire automotive industry is slowly
but surely making the transition to electrified powertrains, so it only makes
sense for Wiesmann to follow.
