The 2022 Nissan Note Aura Nismo has been made even more eye-catching with the introduction of two new aerodynamic elements. New for the front of the Note Aura Nismo is a black painted chin spoiler that attaches to the standard splitter that’s painted bright red. The car manufacturer suggests this small spoiler “enhances the downforce” but it is likely to such a small extent that you wouldn’t even notice. This chin spoiler will set back owners 30,800 Yen or US$ 240.
The second new piece for the hatchback is
slightly more noteworthy and takes the form of an angular rear spoiler that
sits in place of the standard one. This spoiler is also said to benefit
aerodynamics and certainly gives the Note Aura a more menacing look when viewed
from the rear. It kicks up aggressively and houses a third brake light. This
spoiler has been priced at 71,500 yen (US$ 558).
The Note Aura Nismo was unveiled in August
of last year. It takes design inspiration from Nissan’s Formula E race car and
sports 17-inch wheels, red mirror caps, red side skirts, and an aggressive rear
fascia with a distinctive bumper and diffuser. A number of interior upgrades
have also been made to the car, including the fitment of bucket seats with
fabric and synthetic leather complete with an embroidered Nismo logo.
No modifications have been made to the
vehicle’s powertrain. As such, it is driven by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder that
acts as a generator and is supplemented by a pair of electric motors. The car
is good for 134 hp and 300 Nm of torque and can be driven in either
Normal, Eco, or Nismo mode.
