North America isn’t the only market to get a special 50 Jahre model celebrating BMW M’s 50th anniversary as a limited-run 50 Jahre version of the 2023 M4 has been announced for Europe and other regions. BMW will sell the M4 50 Jahre Edition in Carbon Black, Macao Blue, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red, and San Marino Blue. Contrasting the paint are 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M forged wheels with a double-spoke design and offered in Orbit Grey Matt and Gold Bronze Matt.
In China, those looking to pick up the
keys to an M4 50 Jahre Edition will also be offered it in Fire Orange and
Stratus Grey to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Chinese-spec models painted
Fire Orange have Orbit Grey Matt wheels while Stratus Grey units will come with
Gold Bronze Matt wheels.
All BMW M4 models produced through this
limited series also have some special interior features, including door sill
panels with the lettering ‘Edition 50 Jahre BMW M’, a metal plaque on the
center console with the same lettering, and a special imprint on the headrests,
available for both the M sports seats and the optional M carbon bucket seats. As
you would imagine, the M4 50 Jahre Edition is based around the M4 Competition.
As such, it’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder pumps out 503 hp.
BMW says it will cap production of the
model but has not specified how many units will be produced. A full list of
markets where the car will be offered hasn’t been confirmed either. One thing
we do know is that the North American-spec M3 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M will be
capped at just 500 examples and is based on the M3 Competition xDrive. It is
offered in Techno Violet, Deep Interlagos Blue, Fire Orange III, and Limerock
Grey. U.S. pricing for this model starts at US$ 96,695 including destination.
