Famous U.S.-based Ford tuner Shelby American does not export its GT500 model to the UK, but the country has its own talented aftermarket specialists. Meet the Mustang CS850R by Clive Sutton, which outperforms the GT500 in price and looks both.
Thanks to a comprehensive
supercharger-based upgrade, the car is churning out 859 PS to
the rear wheels. The transmission is strictly six-speed manual, and the torque
hits its maximum at 902 Nm. Stiff track-ready suspension and an
aggressive all-carbon body kit make the car optimal for racing, not daily
driving.
In addition to its fancy carbon suit, the
muscle supercar boasts color-adjustable LED headlights, a quartet of exhaust
tips, and bespoke 20-inch Vossen wheels. The interior comes adorned with Nappa
leather and artificial suede.
Pricing begins at £ 121,000. For a
perspective, consider that Clive Sutton is selling an unofficially imported
GT500 for £ 125,000 right now, and that car has less power at 770 PS.
