Fiat is adding new special edition models to the Tipo and Panda ranges in collaboration with Garmin. Based on the Cross models, the new Tipo and Panda Garmin sit at the top of the range, with plenty of standard kit and a free Garmin Venu Sp smartwatch. Fiat says the new Garmin editions are targeting outdoor enthusiasts. Both models are painted in exclusive Foresta Green combined with orange accents, matte light grey mirror caps, and black wheels. The livery and the Garmin badges are complemented by the plastic cladding, aluminum-style skid plates, and increased ground clearance that is already found on the Tipo Cross and Panda Cross models.
As an alternative to the special livery,
buyers can get the Panda Garmin in White, Grey Metallic, and Black, while the
Tipo Garmin is offered in Gelato White, Colosseo Grey, Maestro Grey, and Cinema
Black, available in both hatchback and station wagon bodystyles. The Panda
Garmin comes standard with 15-inch wheels, fog lights, LED DRLs, black fabric
upholstery with orange stitching, auto air-conditioning, and a 7-inch
infotainment touchscreen. Under the bonnet lies the mild-hybrid 1.0-liter
three-cylinder engine that produces 69 hp.
The Tipo Garmin gets a set of 17-inch
black alloy wheels with orange details, LED headlights and taillights, a 7-inch
digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the UConnect 5
infotainment, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, electric rear
windows, soft-touch steering wheel and shifter knob, and a front armrest. ADAS
features include Attention Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed
Assist, and Lane Control. Engine options for the Tipo Garmin include the
turbocharged 1.0-liter petrol with 99 hp, the turbodiesel
1.6-liter with 128 hp plus the recently added mild-hybrid
1.5-liter turbo petrol powertrain with 128 hp.
Buyers of the special editions will get a
free Garmin Venu Sq smartwatch which comes with a 1.3-inch touchscreen,
built-in GPS, a battery that lasts up to six days, Bluetooth, and 20 preloaded
outdoor and indoor sports applications. Fiat didn’t announce pricing for the
Tipo and Panda Garmin, but we don’t believe they will be much more expensive
than the current top-of-the-range trims.
