Recently, the sixth-gen version of the Honda Air Blade was launched in Vietnam with a new engine as the biggest update. The new Airblade 160 benefits from a new powertrain setup. Replacing the old 150-cc unit is a new 160-cc mill that generates a maximum power of 15 bhp and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a belt-driven CVT automatic transmission.

Honda also made some significant modifications to the scooter’s chassis. It gets a new frame that has made the chassis lighter and contributed to increasing the vehicle’s boot capacity. The storage area can now store up to 23.2 litres (+ 0.5 litres) with two half helmets conveniently placed in.

In terms of design, Honda’s maxi scooter flaunts a new, sporty front bumper in style with some more subtle tweaks. The latter includes an updated headlight cluster, a slightly raised tail end, and redesigned body panels. However, the overall design of the vehicle remains unchanged with a thick front apron, side fairing, a single-seat, and a spine running through the floorboard.  The four available colour choices are - Red Grey, Blue Grey Black, Blue Grey, and Black Grey.

Included in the 2022 Honda Air Blade 160 features are all-LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, a Smart key and a boot light, and a USB charger in the under-seat storage area. As for the suspension, the scooter is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back. The braking duties are managed by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake accompanied by a single-channel ABS.

The new Honda Air Blade 160 is priced at VND 55,990,000.
