The Hyundai Palisade SE, the cheapest model in the range, will start at US$ 34,950 (US$ 36,245 w/ US$ 1,295 freight charge) for the 2023 model year. That’s an increase of US$ 1,350 over the same model of the pre-facelift 2022 model. The company today announced pricing for its entire lineup of 2023 Palisades and, as before, the range tops out with the fancy Calligraphy trim, which has an MSRP of US$ 50,800 (US$ 52,095 w/ freight charges). The rugged new XRT trim, meanwhile, starts at US$ 42,150 (US$ 43,445 w/ freight charges).
Available in both front- and
all-wheel-drive, the XRT model comes with everything offered on the SEL trim
plus Dark 20-inch wheels, rugged lower bumpers, lower door garnishes, and skid
plate accents. It also gets a Dark grille finish, black roof side rails,
body-colored exterior door handles, a power sunroof, and Black H-Tex
leatherette seating surfaces. If you opt for the Palisade XRT AWD, you get all
of that plus an HTRAC liftgate badge, downhill brake assistance, a snow mode, a
tow mode, and an AWD lock. Either way, you get some tough-looking XRT badges as
well.
Updated for the 2023 model year, the
Hyundai Palisade benefits from a new, more angular grille and a slightly more
upright front fascia, to look boxier. The headlights, too, were tweaked, though
they retain their split design.
Inside, the design remains
consistent with the outgoing model but is subtly improved. The infotainment
screen now grows from 10.25 inches to 12 and the HVAC vents are slimmer,
fitting in more elegantly with the dashboard. A new four-spoke steering wheel,
on the other hand, looks a little more futuristic than the three-spoke unit it
replaces. Behind it, a new instrument cluster also improves on the 2022
model’s. Front “Ergo-Motion” seats, meanwhile, are borrowed from Genesis,
hinting at this big SUV’s luxurious ambitions.
All models are powered by the same
3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 291 HP at 6,000 rpm and 355 Nm of torque at 5,200 rpm. The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is expected to
hit dealerships this summer.
