This is the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America, created exclusively for the U.S. market and set to reach showrooms in late 2022. The model is based around the standard 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet and therefore features the same mechanical components. As such, it is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder producing 473 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Porsche has equipped the limited-run model with the Porsche Active Suspension Management Sport system as standard. A sport exhaust and the Sport Chrono Package are also standard equipment, as are cast-iron brakes measuring 16-inches (408 mm) at the front and 14.9-inches (380 mm) at the rear. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes are offered as an option.

Distinguishing the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America from a standard model is the bold exterior finish inspired by the original 1953 356 America Roadster. As such, the car is finished in Azure Blue 356 and has a windshield frame painted in Satin Black. The car manufacturer has also installed RS Spyder Design Wheels with white spokes and a Guards Red pinstripe along the edge of the rim. Decals finished in white with Guards Red accents that read ‘America’ are also found down both sides.

Various alterations have been made to the cabin. Pebble Grey leather is found throughout and adorns most surfaces. The car also has two-tone Guards Red and Pebble Grey stitching while an ‘America’ logo is embossed into the leather of the center console.

Porsche has also revealed that customers can opt for an extended interior package that adds a 12 o’clock marking in Guards Red to the steering wheel and cross stitching on the inside edge of the wheel. The shift boot also features two-tone stitching while the 911’s Sport Seats Plus also have distinctive contrast stitching and ‘911’ stitching. The floormats also have Guards Red and Pebble Grey stitching and each car will come with a key painted Azure Blue 356.

While Porsche hasn’t said how many units will be produced, it has confirmed the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America starts at US$ 184,920 excluding a US$ 1,450 destination fee. Models with the extended interior package start at US$ 192,430.
