It seems that Bajaj Auto is planning to launch a new colour variant of the Pulsar 250cc motorcycle. The two-wheeler recently posted a grid of pictures on official Instagram account of the Bajaj Pulsar showing an eclipse. You can see a shadow of the bike painted in black colour along with a caption that reads ‘Dawn Of The Eclipse’. It’s likely to be the Bajaj Pulsar 250 Eclipse Edition or Black Edition. At present, the bike model lineup is available in three paint schemes – Racing Red, Caribbean Blue and Techno Grey.
The Bajaj Pulsar N250, F250 come with a
249cc, oil-cooled, SOHC engine that pushes out a peak power of 24.5 bhp and
21.5 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The
new Bajaj Pulsar 250 Eclipse Edition will use the same motor and gearbox. In
fact, its suspension setup and braking system will also remain unchanged. The
bike comes with the conventional telescopic fork upfront and rear monoshock
suspension units. Braking power comes from the 300cc and 230cc front and rear
disc brakes respectively.
In other updates, the Pune-based
two-wheeler maker will soon introduce the new Bajaj Pulsar N160 with better
styling and a new engine. Compared to the current model, the new one is likely
to be more frugal and efficient. It might share its suspension and braking
systems with the Pulsar 250. Besides this, the 2022 Pulsar N160 will borrow
some of its design elements from its 250cc sibling.
In coming years, Bajaj Auto will also
bring in a range of new electric two-wheelers with different powertrain
configurations and price segment. The company recently trademarked the Bajaj
Blade nameplate that’s likely to be used one of its upcoming e-scooter. The
model is expected to feature a larger battery pack and a more powerful electric
motor than the e-Chetak.
