Haval has revealed the prices and detailed specifications of its new Dagou Hunting Edition. The SUV, which is otherwise known as Dargo or Big Dog, has received rugged styling upgrades and more equipment. Starting with the prices, the Hunting Edition lies within the range of 148,900 – 167,900 Chinese Yuan, which roughly corresponds to US$ 22,700 – 25,700. The standard Dagou model costs around 30,000 Yuan less on average.

Exterior novelty manifests through elaborate new bumpers, a black trapezoid grille with black accents, new wheels, and flared fenders with imitated retention bolts.

Buyers can choose from several interior trim schemes. The car now recognizes faces using a camera built into the front a-pillar and adjusts the mirrors, the seats and the infotainment system in accordance with the preferences of the person recognized. The same camera is used while driving to monitor driver drowsiness.

AutoHome reports that all engines stay the same. In its most affordable spec, the hunter-friendly Dagou uses a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 169 PS, 285 Nm of torque, a seven-speed DCT and front-wheel drive.

The two premium specifications share a 2.0-liter engine good for 204 PS and 325 Nm of torque. The gearbox stays the same, but the torque goes to all four wheels. There are five drive modes to choose from, including five off-road ones, and an electronic diff lock in the back.
