Suzuki is getting ready to unveil a new generation of the Brezza crossover for the Indian market, with a video teaser giving us an idea of the new features. The model that will replace the Vitara Brezza, has also been leaked, allegedly from the factory floor. Starting with the teaser, Suzuki shows us the new LED lighting signature of the crossover that looks more modern and wider compared to its predecessor. We can also see the grille coming with less chrome than before, the optional electric sunroof, and the elongated taillights.
The leaked video reveals all of the
exterior and interior design of the upcoming model, with the entire bodywork
being redesigned. The SUV retains familiar elements like the straight beltline,
the boxy wheelarches and the compact proportions. However, it gets new LED
lighting units, a heavier dose of plastic cladding around the bodywork, and a
floating roof effect thanks to the glass-covered C-pillars.
Inside, the dashboard has a more modern
layout. The free-standing 9-inch infotainment touchscreen appears to be
identical to the recently updated S-Cross, while the steering wheel with
integrated buttons is derived from the new Baleno. The rest of the dashboard
has a design that is unique to the Brezza, with metal-style accents and hard
plastics typical of lower-end Suzuki products.
Suzuki has been tight-lipped about the
specifications of the model, even though it has started accepting orders from
its official website in India. Autocar India reports that the new Brezza will
be based on the same architecture with its predecessor, with a series of
upgrades. Engine options will include an updated version of the
naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter engine featuring mild-hybrid technology. The
engine will be combined with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed
torque-converter automatic gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. We will
learn more about the Maruti Suzuki Brezza in its imminent debut. The model will
go on sale in India against the likes of the recently updated Hyundai Venue.
