The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is already a pretty remarkable SUV but the British automaker has just unveiled a limited-edition variant dubbed the Edition 1988. Set to be capped at just 394 examples worldwide, this special F-Pace SVR has been brought to life by the automaker’s SV Bespoke division. The limited edition F-Pace SVR pays tribute to the race-winning Jaguar XJR-9 LM from the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988. That car completed 394 laps of the circuit during the event, hence why just 394 examples of the Edition 1988 will be produced.
All examples are bathed in the same
Midnight Amethyst Gloss paintwork and sit on a set of 22-inch forged alloy
wheels finished in Champagne Gold Satin. Each F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 also
includes a Sunset Gold Satin Jaguar badge and script on the tailgate,
laser-etched Edition 1988 logo on each front wing panel, and gloss black
finishes across the wing mirror caps, brake calipers, wheel center caps, and
the ‘R’ on the SVR badges.
The distinctive features continue into the
cabin of the potent SUV. For example, all 394 examples will be adorned with
semi-aniline Ebony leather upholstery and feature Sunset Gold Satin detailing
across the dashboard, steering wheel, paddle shifters, and the front seats.
Jaguar has also fitted Satin Black badges to the steering wheel while applying
subtle SV Bespoke and Edition 1988 branding on the illuminated treadplates and
dashboard.
The F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 remains
mechanically identical to the standard model. As such, it is powered by a
5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 550 hp and 700 Nm)of torque. The SUV
will be showcased alongside the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 at this month’s Le
Mans 24 Hours.
