German tuner JÄGER, owned by GnB Tech GmbH, presented a new tuning package for the Porsche Taycan which includes plenty of carbon fiber bits, a new set of forged 21-inch wheels, and golden exterior accents. At first glance, the in-house developed 21-inch aero-style forged alloy wheels are stealing the show. Meanwhile the golden brake calipers are matching the pronounced front splitter, the side sill extensions and the rear diffuser add-ons, creating a contrast with the black body.
A closer look reveals that most of the
body panels feature a visible carbon fiber weave which according to the tuner
is real carbon and not just a wrap. This treatment has been applied on the
front bumper, hood, front fenders, mirror caps, door handles, rear bumper, rear
diffuser and the active rear wing. From certain angles, the difference between
the carbon fiber bits and the regular black-painted body panels (boot, doors,
rear fenders, etc.) looks a bit weird. We guess that it would be ultra-expensive
for the tuner to offer a full carbon conversion as TopCar does for the 911.
The modifications helped the Taycan shed
45 kg from its weight. While Porsche’s EV remains completely stock
under the skin, the fact that it is slightly lighter could benefit performance.
In any case, the most powerful Turbo S variant of the Taycan produces up to 750
hp and 1,050 Nm of torque from dual electric
motors offering a 0-100 km/h sprint in 2.6 seconds right from the factory.
JÄGER didn’t announce the cost of the
conversion but it will definitely be a five-digit amount since the lightweight
material is quite expensive when it is used to that extent, and you also have
to factor in the custom wheels and tires.
