Renault has launched the E-Tech engineered special edition for the electrified versions of the Clio, Captur, Arkana, and Megane (hathcback and estate), with styling cues inspired by the new, fully electric Megane E-Tech. While a special edition of the old generation Megane inspired by its EV successor sounds kind of weird, the common thing among the selected models is the electrified powertrain.
The special edition is
available for the self-charging E-Tech Hybrid variants of the Clio, Captur, and
Arkana, and for the E-Tech Plug-In Hybrid variants of the Captur and Megane
(Hatchback and Estate).
The models benefit from Warm Titanium
accents on the front bumper, side sills, side gills, and rear diffuser /
exhaust pipes, along with a special label on the front fenders and a matching
E-tech badge on the tailgate. The Renault emblem and the lettering at the back
are finished in black, as are the grille and bumper intakes. A cool set of
five-spoke alloy wheels enhances the sporty stance, with Warm Titanium stripes
on one of the spokes.
While all models feature a gray exterior
shade in the press photos, Renault said they will be available in a range of
colors. Inside the cabin there is Warm Titanium stitching on the seats, doors,
and steering wheel, matching the trim elements on the dashboard. The steering
wheel is branded with the letter E, and the door sills get “E-Tech Engineered”
lettering.
The E-Tech engineered special editions of
the Clio, Arkana, and Megane are already available starting from their home
market in France, with the Captur following at a later date.
