The Sinetruck VGV U70 Pro is already up for grabs in China, where it starts from mere 89,800 CNY (US$ 13,300) and rises to 115,800 CNY (US$ 17,100) in the top spec.
Sinetruck is a state-owned truck
manufacturer based in China, which controls the VGV sub-brand for mass-market
cars. The U70 Pro is 4,825 mm long, 1,870 mm wide and 1,691 mm tall with 2.8
meters of wheelbase, making it comparable to the Skoda Kodiaq (length 4,697 mm,
WB 2,790 mm). You can choose between five and seven seats.
The interior is dominated by a couple of
10.3-inch dash screens with two rows of physical buttons located under the
multimedia display.
The only engine on offer right now is a
1.5-liter turbo-four rated at 156 PS and 215 Nm.
You can get it with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, but the drive
will stay on the front axle no matter what. The top speed is a
manufacturer-rated 175 km/h.
