TVS Motor Company has introduced the updated Radeon commuter motorcycle in the country. Called the TVS Radeon Refresh, the model receives a few new features to challenge the newly-launched Hero Passion Xtec. Interestingly, no changes have been made to its pricing. The bike’s model lineup is still available within price range of Rs 59,925 – Rs 71,966 (ex-showroom). Talking about the features, the new 2022 TVS Radeon has a reverse multi-colour LCD digital cluster that reads real time mileage, top and average speed, service indicator, clock and low battery indicator.
No other changes have been made to the
bike. It continues to come with the 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine
delivering 8.4bhp and 8.7Nm of torque. The 2022 TVS Radeon promises fuel
efficiency of 69.3kmpl. For performing suspension duties, it has telescopic
fork and dual shock absorbers. While the front and rear drum brakes come as
standard, the front disc brake is an optional offering. It has TVS’
Synchronised Braking Technology, which is similar to Honda’s CBS.
In other updates, the Chennai-based
two-wheeler maker is ready to launch a new motorcycle on 6th July 2022. While the
company hasn’t yet revealed its name and details, it’s reported to be the TVS
Ronin 225 cruiser. The model will have conventional retro cruiser styling with
features such as retro-styled circular headlamp and a round console with
readouts like fuel level, odometer, engine temperature, etc. The official
teaser confirms that the upcoming new TVS bike will have circular headlamp with
a ‘T’ shaped pattern at the centre.
The TVS Ronin 225 will derive its power
from a 223cc, single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The unit will
return power close to 20 bhp and 20 Nm of torque. It might have USD front forks
and a monoshock unit at the rear. The bike is likely to have single disc brake
at both ends along with the dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
