Great Wall has attended the car expo in Chongqing, China with a special edition of its Cannon pickup truck. Called Black Bullet, it targets serious off-roading enthusiasts. To that end, it comes equipped with fender flares, a snorkel pipe, mud tires and a rugged bumper with a winch at the rear end. Both the body and the cabin sport orange accents. The seats inside boast black and white leather upholstery, making us wonder whether white is a good fit for a dirt truck.
A look behind the wheels, which are larger
than in all other Cannon modifications out there, reveals adjustable shock
absorbers with external air cylinders. The bottom benefits from additional
metallic plating, and the ground clearance amounts to 255 mm. As a
result, the approach and departure angles make 31.5 and 21.6 degrees,
respectively. Maximum wading depth is 900 mm.
The infotainment system has been upgraded
to display body tilt angle, atmospheric pressure and altitude. The standard
trim already includes adaptive cruise control and other driving assists, as
well as an all-around camera system and a 220V power socket for charging and
using electric appliances.
Powering the truck is a 2.0-liter petrol
turbo engine rated at 190 PS in tandem with an eight-speed
automatic transmission. Electronic inter-wheel diff locks and a reduction gear
carry the torque to all four wheels thanks to a part-time AWD system.
Prces in China start from 248,800 Yuan.
