The next-generation Honda CR-V is just around the corner and to stroke some life into the outgoing model, Honda Australia has launched two special edition variants of the popular SUV. The first of these new variants is the CR-V Black Edition. It is based on the CR-V VTi and comes standard with a number of features usually only available on higher-end models. These include LED headlights and Active Cornering Lights, heated front seats, leather-appointed seat trim, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Fitting of the name, the CR-V Black Edition adds gloss black alloy wheels, smoked headlights, piano black bumper garnishes and dark trivalent chromium accents. A handful of special touches have also been made to the interior. These include leather-appointed front seat trim with an embroidered Black Edition logo as well as piano black on the steering wheel, infotainment screen bezel, climate control surround, gear shift surround, and door handle surrounds. Dark wooden accents are also found through the center console, dashboard, and door trims.

Customers will be available to purchase the CR-V Black Edition in either Crystal Black or, oddly, Platinum White. The second new variant is the CR-V VTi 7 +Luxe. It is based on the CR-V VTi 7 and boasts a number of upgraded features, including leather-appointed seat trim, heated front seats, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-position memory. This new model is available in Ignite Red, Cosmic Blue, Lunar Silver, Meteoroid Grey, and Platinum Grey.

Local prices for the Honda CR-V VTi 7 +Luxe start at AU$ 43,700 (US$ 30,226) drive away, while the Black Edition is available from AU$ 44,600 (US$ 30,849) drive away.
