BRP is embracing electrification and the company has unveiled two electric motorcycles for Can-Am. Known as the Origin and Pulse, the bikes are set to arrive in mid-2024 and open the “road to a new generation of riders” while also appealing to electric vehicle enthusiasts. The Origin draws inspiration from Can-Am’s Track n’ Trail heritage and is billed as a dual-purpose model that brings a new level of “exhilaration to both the street and the trail.” The Pulse, on the other hand, is a “balanced and agile motorcycle designed to immerse riders in the energy of the city and transform their daily commute into an electric joyride.”
The company didn’t say much else about the
bikes, but they feature LED lighting units as well as an edgy design with yellow
accents. We can also see short fenders and what appears to be a digital
instrument cluster.
Specifications are slated to be released
in August of 2023, but BRP said the models are powered by Rotax E-Power
technology. This promises to deliver “plenty of horsepower and torque” as well
as “highway-worthy speeds.” The company also said the bikes will be easy for
novices as owners can simply twist the throttle and go, while also enjoying a
“near-silent and vibration-free experience.”
