Camera-toting spies have already sighted the latest-and-greatest Defender 110 V8 on the Green Hell, but no one posted a video until now. Credits go to Motor.TV. The footage shows a bulky pre-production example of the SUV blazing down the track with impressive acceleration, making sharp corners and generally providing the impression of a capable sports utility vehicle.
The 110 V8 badging is probably
camouflaged, but two pairs of tailpipes are a dead giveaway of the 110 V8
version, as are flared fenders and increased ground clearance.
An executive from the Land Rover SVO
division hinted that a more powerful Defender was coming two weeks after the
standard version debuted with a V8 capable of 525 PS and 625
Nm of torque. He said it would compete against the AMG G 63 thanks
to having more power and racing-tech suspension.
