Maserati has released new details about the Grecale PrimaSerie, ahead of its launch in North America this fall. The special edition will be available in two different versions and the range-topping variant is based on the Grecale Trofeo, which features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 that develops 523 hp and 619 Nm of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system with a limited-slip rear differential. This setup enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 3.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 285 km/h.

Besides the impressive powertrain, the Grecale Trofeo PrimaSerie will have an eye-catching Giallo Corse paint job. The model also rides on 21-inch Crio wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system, which features red Brembo calipers at all four corners. Moving into the cabin, buyers will find black leather seats with yellow contrast stitching and embroidered headrests. Other highlights include 3D carbon trim, brushed stainless steel pedals, and the Premium Plus Package. The latter adds a heated steering wheel, heated / ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a 21-speaker Sonus faber audio system. The model also comes equipped with a head-up display, a wireless smartphone charger, rear cargo rails, and a cargo area power outlet.

Customers with more modest budgets can opt for the Grecale Modena PrimaSerie, which features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with mild hybrid technology. It produces 325 hp and 450 Nm of torque, which is enough to allow for a 0-96 km/h time of 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. The entry-level special edition offers more choice as customers can choose from Bianco Astro (white) metallic, Blu Nobile (blue) tri-coat, and Grigio Cangiante (silver) tri-coat exteriors. They’re joined by 21-inch Pegaso wheels, which are backed up by red or blue brake calipers.

Inside, buyers will find black, white or red leather front sport seats with heating and ventilation as well as contrast stitching and embroidered headrests. Other niceties include piano black trim, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 21-speaker Sonus faber audio system. They’re joined by brushed stainless steel pedals, a hands-free power liftgate, and a tri-zone climate control system. The special edition also boasts a head-up display and wireless smartphone charger.

Only 325 Grecale PrimaSerie special editions will be offered in North America and potential customers are being told to contact their local dealership about availability.
