Volcon has announced a UTV powered by a GM electric propulsion system called the Volcon Stag UTV. For the GM electric propulsion used, it is not specifically discussed. The company only mentions using a battery cell module as well as “a number of supporting components from GM.”

The Volcon Stag UTV will start at US$ 39,999 and is slated to launch in summer 2023. This four-seater UTV comes with a 42 kWh battery and an electric powertrain that produces 125 hp and 359 Nm torque – with an overboost pushing things past the 140 hp mark. This electric UTV reaches a top speed of 129 km/h and has a range of over 161 km.

 

The Volcon Stag UTV has a four-wheel drive system, which automatically moves the front wheels whenever the rear wheels lose traction. Like today’s electric vehicles, the Volcon Stag UTV also has selectable drive modes. This electric UTV has a 7.2 kW onboard charger, which allows the battery to be recharged in under six hours.

If you are a vlog enthusiast, the Volcon Stag UTV has two built-in cameras, to share your off-road adventures. If you want more cargo space, the rear seats can be folded to provide more than 736 liters of cargo space.

The vehicle has a payload capacity of 703 kg as well as the ability to tow up to 907 kg.
