Exeed, a sub-brand of Chinese automaker Chery, has published the first photo of a production car based on the AtlantiX Concept. Based on the pic, the crossover SUV will look only slightly different from its source of inspiration.

AutoHome claims it will hit the market next month with the nameplate ‘Yaoguang’, although it isn’t official yet. It looks like the key difference of the production car from the concept is the radiator grille design. The prototype had a faux grille with numerous integrated lights, while the mass-market model sports a rather simple diamond-pattern grille with smaller, simpler LED backlight units. Gone are the suicide doors and the side cameras, replaced with normal doors and mirrors. The pull-out door handles are still there, though, and the whole SUV looks lively thanks to bronze accents all around. For instance, there is a stylish bronze stripe between the headlights and the hood.

The technical specifications remain to be confirmed. Older reports claimed the car would get a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of up to 400 Nm of torque, as well as an eight-speed auto gearbox, all-wheel drive and adaptive suspension. Just how much of this makes it to the market remains to be seen.
