Pricing for the all-new, fourth-generation Honda Pilot will start at US$ 40,445 (US$ 39,150 plus US$ 1,295 destination fee). More rugged, capable, and flexible than ever before, the model starts at US$ 1,070 more than the third-generation 2022 model. Offered in 10 trim levels, including front- and all-wheel-drive variants. The FWD Sport model is the cheapest option in the Pilot lineup, while the Sport AWD starts at US$ 42,545 (US$ 41,250 plus US$ 1,295 destination).
The most expensive model in the lineup,
meanwhile, is the Elite, which starts at US$ 53,325, just US$ 160 more than the 2022
lineup’s most expensive model, the Black Edition. The Elite trim comes with
standard AWD, perforated leather seat inserts, ventilated front seats, a
configurable 10.2-inch instrument display, a color heads-up display, and a
multi-view camera. The most rugged model Honda will offer, the off-road-ready
TrailSport model, meanwhile, starts at US$ 49,645. It has already tested its
mettle at the Rebelle Rally and features a raised suspension, all-terrain
tires, standard AWD, and more.
Those modifications, though, also make it
the least fuel efficient trim level in the lineup. The TrailSport is capable of
going 18 MPG in the city, 23 MPG on the highway, and 20 MPG combined, according
to the Environmental Protection Agency. The rest of the 2023 Pilot (all are
powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 that makes 285 hp and 355 Nm of torque) can go 19 MPG in the city. The front-wheel-drive
models, though, are more efficient on the highway and can go 27 MPG, as opposed
to the AWD models’ 25 MPG. That gives the former a slightly better combined
rating of 22 MPG, whereas the latter models get 21 MPG combined.
For the first time, the 2023 Pilot will
also be available with a special options package. Designed in collaboration
with Honda Performance Development, it adds fender flares, bronze- or
black-colored wheels, HPD graphics, and costs US$ 2,950. It is one of several new
post-production options packages that also include Protections, which costs US$ 290, Function, priced at US$ 405, and Tow whose price varies from US$ 305 to US$ 990.
