The third-generation Lincoln Nautilus has been revealed in full in China thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, providing us with our first chance to see the new SUV up-close. The new Nautilus looks significantly different than the outgoing model and is all the better for it. These changes start at the front where Lincoln has redesigned the grille and made it slightly bigger, with either a black or silver finish depending on the trim level in China.
Complementing the new grille are
distinctive headlights with a tinted finish, LED daytime running lights, and a
light bar that stretches across the grille. Rounding out the alterations made
to the front of the Nautilus include gloss black trimmings around the front bumper
and a lower black chin spoiler. Elsewhere, these images show that the Nautilus
comes standard with black pillars and window surrounds, regardless of the trim
level. It is also available with either a body-colored roof or a gloss black
roof and black wing mirrors are standard. A large piece of trim also stretches
from the front quarter panel along the front door but this piece can be given a
chrome finish. These images also showcase four different wheels designs for the
SUV.
The rear of the third-generation Lincoln
Nautilus is very different to the current model. The taillights are very
similar to those of the Aviator and sport a sharper design than those of the
existing model. An LED light bar catches the eye. Technical specifications
about the new Nautilus are not yet known and it is unclear when it will land in
the United States. Whatever the case may be, it is certainly shaping up to be a
nice alternative to the larger Aviator.
